Wayne Walker is the president of Walker Nell Partners, Inc. (“Walker Nell”), an international business consulting firm. He focuses on corporate governance, turnaround management, corporate restructuring and bankruptcy matters including creditor committee participation and fiduciary services.
Before founding Walker Nell in 2003, Wayne worked for 15 years at the DuPont Company in Wilmington, Delaware in the Securities and Bankruptcy group, where he served as Senior Counsel. He also served on the global business teams of DuPont Corian® and Electronic Material businesses.
After DuPont, Wayne was a Principal at a mid-Atlantic 500-person consulting and accounting firm. for three years. He worked in the business reorganization advisory group.
Wayne currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of National Philanthropic Trust, a public charity that holds nearly two and a half billion dollars and has disbursed more than one billion dollars around the world. Wayne is also on the Board of Directors of Last Call, Inc., owner of chain sports restaurants Fox and Hound, Bailey’s Sports Grille and Champps. Other board service includes Eagleville Hospital and Foundation and Boys and Girls Club of Philadelphia.
Wayne recently served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of BridgeStreet Worldwide, Inc., a global provider of corporate housing. He also completed tenure as a director of a publicly traded company (“NASDAQ”) in the media industry where he served as lead independent director, board secretary and chaired governance and nominations, compensation and special committees.
Wayne is a former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity International, then a $400 million plus global non-profit housing organization spanning 60 countries.
Wayne has a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Catholic University (Washington, DC) and a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University (New Orleans).
Wayne is an attorney licensed by the State Bar of Georgia. He is a member of the State Bar Association of Georgia, American Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute and Turnaround Management Association.
